So. I’m not even sure where to begin. This morning I logged on to check on how things were going with the sites and noticed they were gone. What happened?
I left for Africa on a missions trip about a month ago, fully aware that my hosting package was about to run out, but too busy with preperations to do research on a new hosting service, and short of extra cash to pay for anything I did find. I was also feeling very burnout after 5 years of doing this and had lost my passion for running everything. However, I didn’t feel right about completely quitting the ministry either, seeing how it’d impacted so many people around the world for the better, and quitting would be giving Satan back a part of the internet. I’m so sorry to those of you who made the same abrupt discovery about the ministries as I did, and know that many of you will be angry. But please please please exercise some patience in your judgments and before anything else, offer everything up to the Lord in prayer.
What Now?
I’ve been praying & fasting for an answer but haven’t really arrived at a solution. One possibility I’m considering is combining all of the above sites into one location, like this one. This will mean less work & expense for me personally.
Prayer Requests
I’m not about to jump back into doing this ministry without a lot more heavy prayer, because I don’t want things to ever be done half-heartedly again on my part as was becoming the case in the last couple years. You can be praying that God reveals His will and that if it’s to continue, He sends all the financial suppport and volunteers that are needed.
Can You Help?
Volunteers
If I DO re-launch, things are going to have to be done differently – with volunteers. There are 3 areas I need help in: Writing, General Administration, and Technical. Learn more about how you can help out by volunteering. Without this help I will not be able to re-open.
Donations
We’re also going to need people to actually donate and support the ministry financially in order to keep it free to visitors, the majority of which are young teens to college-age students who may not be able to afford paid subscriptions.
Feedback
Of course, I want to know if people really want the sites back in the first place. Let me know what you miss them!
Please check this site regularly as I will come back eventually and post an update regarding my decision.
Love in Him,
Candace
