Abstinence Verses

Ephesians 5:3- "But among you there must be not even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people."

Timothy 2:22- "Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart."

I Corinthians 7:1- "Now concerning the things about which you wrote, it is good for a man not to touch [turn on] a woman. (KJV, NKJV, NAS...every version except NIV)

I Corinthians 6:19-20- "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body."

Hebrews 13:4- "Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge."

I Corinthians 6:13- "Now the body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body."

I Corinthians 6:18- "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."

I Corinthians 7:2- "Nevertheless, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband."
